How do I verify my car?
Settings → Verify a vehicle. Upload one clean exterior shot of the car and one dashboard photo showing the make/model badge plus a partial VIN. Our review team approves within 24–48 hours. Once approved you get a checkmark on posts and any earned badges (M Competition, Type R, supercar, etc.) appear on your profile.
How do I host a meet?
You need to be at least Vehicle Verified to host a meet. From the Meets tab, tap the + button, pick a date, location, and which area group the meet belongs to. People in that area see it on their feed and can RSVP. Read the meet liability disclaimer before hosting — you accept that Car Lounge and Hummus Development LLC are not responsible for damage, theft, injury, or arrests arising from attendance.
What is Identity Verification?
Optional paid step (Stripe absorbs the ~$2 cost; free for you). You submit a government ID and a selfie through Stripe's hosted flow. We never see the ID image. You get a blue checkmark and the ability to DM people who are not already mutuals. This is our anti-catfish/anti-scam signal — Car Lounge takes user safety seriously, especially for meet coordination.
Someone is harassing me. What do I do?
Tap the ··· menu on the offending post, message, or profile and pick Report. Our moderation team reviews reports within 24 hours and can remove content, suspend the user, or ban them. You can also Block them — blocked users disappear from your feed, can't message you, and can't see your profile. If you receive credible threats, contact local law enforcement first, then email us.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Account → Delete account. This erases your profile, posts, vehicles, chats, photos, and badges within 30 days. We keep transactional records (subscriptions, abuse reports) for legal compliance. Once deleted, your handle is released after 90 days.
How do I change my area?
Settings → Account → Change area. You'll auto-join the new area's default meets group; old memberships persist so you can keep up with your prior area's meets.
What are points and unlocks?
Watch a 30-second sponsored video and earn points (typically 50–200 per ad). Use points to unlock garage customization: animations, profile scenes, name effects, banners, avatar decorations. Premium subscribers auto-unlock everything. Points are tied to your account — no cash value, no transfer.
